And The Winner Is...

Over the weekend, American media finally called the primary election win to President-elect, Joe Biden. After a long drawn out week, it was finally called.
The streets of San Francisco went into a full celebratory scene. Blocks of streets were quickly blocked off, music blasting, everyone was dancing in the streets with each other and with strangers (fully masked because we're conscious like that.) This is the kind of San Francisco that reminded me of what San Francisco used to be pre-covid and before everyone started moving out (or got pushed out) due to high housing rates.
This is the San Francisco I love and it was so nice being reminded of why I moved year almost a decade ago. A city that aligns with my personal core values and views.
I won't soon know if SF will ever be able to recover and go back to what it was or morph into something new and better. But, I'm so glad to see and experience the heart of what the city has always been...despite the challenges.
