X.

I was a touring musician.
I was a touring musician.

I've done A LOT of really unique and rad things in this life. One of the best chapters in my life was when I was in a touring band. My claim to fame was opening up for Paramore (before they blew up) on Warped Tour. It was the time of my life. My band days opened up the opportunity to express my creativity without boundaries, learned how to communicate, opened my eyes to passion and even created the opportunity to fall in love (again, another story for another time.)

That being said, I have always missed creating. My two creative outlets have been making music and my photography (having studied both - they are more than just 'hobbies'.)

Recently, I decided to pick up making music again. But, this time, in a different way. This time, I wanted to do something more independent and not be in any kind of band - I've lived those days and it's not something I want to do in this moment. And, because I'm a doer, I picked up Ableton and other programs and started teaching myself. I'm a few weeks in and finally created my first completed track. I'm pretty proud of it and it's very different than what I'd write on a guitar.

Coincidentally, I'm very lucky to have talented friends. I've been asked to create an 80's vibe track so my friend can mix it within their DJ set.

LA - you're a creative bunch.

I can't wait to see what else comes from me. Until then, I hope your ears don't bleed.
